Aaron & Carrie Combs

The Combs

Carrie lives her life aspiring to be an apprentice of Jesus. She made the decision to follow him as a five-year old attending Mother's Day Out. Growing up in the church and faith-centered family laid a strong foundation for a strong and unwavering faith in her Creator.

Her faith journey has seen seasons of struggle, suffering and doubt: navigating life as a child of divorced parents, balancing life as a working mom and wife and walking through multiple miscarriages and secondary infertility. Through life's valleys, plateaus and peaks one thing remained constant - the goodness of God. It was her seasons of suffering and seeking Jesus in silence and solitude that brought healing each time.

Her heart's desire through Hope Ridge is to show others how to find healing and restoration through the peace and gentleness of her Creator.

While her true identity can be found in Christ alone a few other adventures fill her time include being a wife to Aaron, a mom to Vayda, an active community member in her local church and community and serving as Director of Alumni Relations and Volunteer Engagement at James Madison University. Other life giving activities for Carrie are being active outside, sharing a meal with friends and discovering gospel centered resources through being an avid reader and podcast listener.

Aaron has been walking with our Lord and Savior since 2010. As a co-founder of Hope Ridge, he serves as the Vice President and oversees the curriculum development of the organization. Since 2019, God has placed him within an organization called LOVE4, whose mission is to mobilize missional communities up the I-81 corridor.

Within the local church, Aaron has served in a variety of leadership roles that consist of Director of FaithGroups, Coordinator of Youth programs, and most recently, the Director of Alignment and Systems.

Through his spiritual development he became certified in 5Q Central's APEST that focuses on spiritual giftings. He currently works at James Madison University, serving as the Associate Director for Programs at University Recreation where he interacts and serves over 22,000 students within Higer Education.

He also has the blesssing to teach adjunct faculty for the HART school of Hospitality, Sport and Recreation Management at JMU and for Blue Ridge Community College.

His ministry passions focus on growing God's kingdom by teaching the word of God and shepherding His people in forming missional communities. Aaron is happily married to his wife Carrie and they have one spirit filled daughter, Vayda.
