In the fall of 2020, the four of us had a conversation that stirred our hearts and minds. We had all felt the individual prompting to step more into ministry and had all felt the pull towards each other. We knew that God was doing something, we just weren't sure what.
Through lots of prayer and discussion, we all recognized that despite the fact that our stories were different, and the trials and suffering that we had walked through were unique to our own story, the common thread was the fact that we had all sought and found our refuge, our peace and our hope in the Lord. Even in the moments of anger, frustration and sadness, we had all experienced the gentleness and mercy of God. And we all wanted to help others experience that as well.
And that's how Hope Ridge came about!
Our mission at Hope Ridge is to help lead others to seek and find their refuge in the Lord, experiencing his gentleness and mercy through spiritual, physical and mental wellbeing.
As people, our everyday lives are full of constant distractions and stresses that often pull us from our relationship with God and sometimes leave us feeling like we are treading water. The long term goal and vision of Hope Ridge is to have property that allows for an individual to have the space and time to set aside the distractions and stress, get alone with God in his creation, and nourish their relationship with him.
After their experience at Hope Ridge, we hope that when they go back into the craziness of life, they will feel rested, restored and able to walk more fully in their God given identity because they have experienced his peace, his gentleness, his mercy and their refuge is in him.
In the meantime though, Hope Ridge is equipped to host individuals, couples or small groups for spiritual retreat days. Hope Ridge guests will have access to the Hope House equipped with an outdoor fireplace, access to The Father's Path (and outdoor prayer trail), a host of spiritual resources and a kitchenette equipped with refreshments. Ultimately, guests should expect to meet the Lord--finding their hope, rest, and refuge in him.
